Lodestar proudly announces our new Board President, Christen Lambert, who took office July 9th!! Christen is a business developer and brings professional knowledge of: banking, capital raising; budgeting and forecasting. Her call to be a part of Lodestar comes from extensive experience working at and with non- profit organizations-- she is passionate about effecting social change in the Long Island community.
Jay Able and Clifton Nembhard also have agreed to 2nd terms as Board Treasurer and Secretary respectively.
We can't wait for next week!!! Lodestar is proud to say we have surpassed 130 in ticket sales and 9K in fundraising for 2017. Your support has been critical in allowing us to build strong framework for a much needed and great new community resource!
Magician Mike Paldino will be performing at our event on 4/27 at Appliance World!!! Admission additionally includes, food, drink, choir entertainment, photography viewing, raffle baskets, and, for children, supervision and activities led by licensed day care staff!

4 NEW BOARD MEMBERS ADDED! Welcome aboard Christen Lambert, Fred Kortmann, Bob Maire, and Dr. Michael Confusione. Christen and Fred add financial and business expertise to the board while Bob and Mike are esteemed psychologists with a wealth of years and knowledge of the profession. Each will be an asset to their role!
IT'S OFFICIAL!! Lodestar has begun helping its first family!!! After much anticipation, staff Anthony Gibson provided 3 hours of respite services to a Suffolk County youth on 12/29 through our sub-contract with SCO Family of Services. Great job Anthony!!
LODESTAR HAS TALKS ON NEW SUB-CONTRACT: Lodestar met with the Waiver Director at the Child Center of NY for preliminary discussions on a potential new partnership. The meeting went well and everyone is optimistic about moving forward!
