Can I write a check to donate?

Absolutely! We welcome check donations. For more information and specific details on how to proceed with a check donation, kindly reach out to Noelle, our Development Coordinator, at NArebalo@lodestarcs.org. She’ll be delighted to assist you with the process and answer any questions you may have.

I don’t want to cycle. Will there be non-cycling activities?

Certainly! You may participate by any means of non-motorized wheels or you may choose to participate as a walker or runner. Additionally, participation in the cycling event is optional. All are welcome to join in the celebration at the Babylon Village Gazebo for FREE. Food and beverages will be available through our vendors, providing an opportunity for you to relax, socialize with other participants, and listen to our guest speakers.

How can I form a team?

Forming a team is a fantastic idea! Gather the names of your team members and click on the “Register” link at the top of this page. You may sign your whole team up at once, or you may create your team and encourage your friends and family to sign up as “pinch hitters”. They will then be able to write in the team name in the following section, allowing them to be added to your team. Please consider encouraging others to contribute to your team’s donation link. If you are confused about this process, please get in touch with Noelle, our Development Coordinator, at NArebalo@lodestarcs.org. She will guide you through the team formation process and provide additional details.

Is there a tax-incentive to donating?

Yes, there is! Lodestar Children’s Services is a registered non-profit organization, making your donations eligible for tax incentives. You can include your contributions when reporting your taxes.

I have a child or an elderly person interested in participating.

Fantastic! We welcome participants of all ages. Whether you have a child or an elderly family member interested in joining, they are more than welcome. Our event is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?

Absolutely. We strive to make our event accessible to everyone. If you or someone you know requires wheelchair accessibility or any specific assistance, please inform one of our Lodestar volunteer members. We are committed to doing our best to accommodate everyone’s needs and ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

Is there a rain date for this event?

No, there will not be a rain date for the Wheels For Wellness event. The event will proceed rain or shine. Please come prepared for all weather conditions and join us for a day of outdoor fun and support for mental health awareness!’

How do I rent a bike?

Lodestar has partnered with Vicious Cycle (213 Higbie Ln, West Islip) for bike rentals at an additional $35. Bike rental is available for adults only and is first come, first served, as quantities are limited. The deadline for renting a Vicious Cycle bike through Lodestar is 4/12 and is subject to availability.

If you are paying your registration fee on Lodestar’s website, you should also select the option to pay the additional $35 for the bike rental.  Thank you.

Please email Noelle Arebalo (narebalo@lodestarcs.org) for more information.
